Born in Sallèles-d'Aude (France) where his father is a pharmacist.
1900
Her younger sister Reine dies of typhoid fever.
1902
Birth of his sister Régine.
1904
Suicide of his maternal grandfather Lucien Maillet, winegrower in Ouveillan.
1905-1908
Following the consequences of wine crisis, all his paternal uncles, aunts and cousins moved to Paris.
1908-1915
Iché becomes a boarder at the elite high school Lycée de Carcassonne, a former Jesuit institution.
First portraits and landscapes in pastel and oil painting.
1915
Cheated on his age to join the Hussars. Obtains the Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Science.
1916
Fighting at Verdun with the 60th Infantry Regiment. First Military Citation for Bravery.
1917
Military trained as a senior officer in Saint-Cyr ( Uncle Sam promotion). Meets Guillaume Apollinaire and frequents poetry circles. Second Military Citation for intelligence mission.
Briefly begins medical studies at the Faculty of Montpellier.
1918
Wounded and gassed. Began law studies.
1919
Settles permanently in Paris, first at his aunt's house, then in a hotel on Rue Jacob. Attends literary and artistic circles and tries his hand at journalism.
1920
Graduated in law, Iché is recruited by Department of Merchant Marine.
1921
Links to American artists, he discover sculpture in Antoine Bourdelle's studio.
1922
Resigned from the administration against the advice of his family. Settles in a studio at 33 rue Dutôt, not far from Jane Poupelet's studio.
1923
First participation at the Salon des Indépendants. The day of the opening, his work Forfaiture is censored by the police for "indecency" shortly before the arrival of the President of the Republic.
1925
His project The War to Canet-d'Aude was rejected for pacifism.
1927
Execute the Ouveillan War Memorial.
1928
Marries her model Rosa Achard, known as Renée.
1930
Birth of their daughter Hélène.
1931
First solo exhibition at the Zborowski Gallery in Paris.
1932
Recognizes Rosa's daughter, Laurence, and gives her name. Stays in Provence and begins the production of personal medals.
1934
Solo exhibition at the Galerie du Portique in Paris.
1935
Receives a special mention from the Viking Prize for the Counterflower.
1937
Sculpts Guernica in April and designs several works for the International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in Paris.
1939
Participates in the exhibition Contemporary French Art at the New York World's Fair.
1940
Disbarred from the army, Iché is sent back to his home.
In the summer, Iché joins the Resistance within the Museum of Man's network.
1942
Joined the Cohors network founded by his friend Jean Cavaillès.
Clandestine bronze casting of The Torn to offer it to General de Gaulle in London.
1944
Participates at the "Salon d'Automne de la Libération" with The Torn and The Wrestlers.
1948
Participates in the French Pavilion of the Venice Biennale.
Created the Monument to the Hostages in Puiseaux and the Monument to the Resistance in Carcassonne.
1949
Founded the National Union of Sculptors.
1953
Solo exhibition at Galerie Berheim-Jeune.
Obtains the Grand Prix des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris (Paris' city prize of Fine arts).
1954
Receives the commission for the Auschwitz Martyrs' Monument.
Dies in Paris.
